See how your dive centre shows up on Google, on Bing and in answers from AI assistants such as ChatGPT. You connect your own Google and Bing accounts; DiveOps only reads from them and never changes anything.
When you'd use this
- You want to know how many people find your centre on Google and Bing, and which searches bring them.
- You want to see which pages of your website people visit, and how many come from AI assistants.
- You want one place for all of this, next to your bookings, instead of logging in to Google and Bing separately.
Before you start
- Search & AI visibility is switched on for your centre by DiveOps. If you do not see Search & AI visibility in Settings → Integrations, ask us and we will turn it on.
- You need to be a Manager or Owner in DiveOps.
- Use the Google Account that manages your website in Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and the Microsoft account you use for Bing Webmaster Tools.
How to connect Google
- Go to Settings → Integrations and open Google under Search & AI visibility.
- Press Connect Google and sign in with your Google Account.
- Google lists what DiveOps asks for: to see your Analytics and Search Console data. Leave every box ticked and press Continue.
- Back in DiveOps, choose your Google Analytics property and your Search Console site, then press Save.
The page shows Connected as and the Google Account you used.
How to connect Bing
- Go to Settings → Integrations and open Bing.
- Press Connect Bing, sign in and allow DiveOps to read your Bing Webmaster Tools data.
- Choose your Website in Bing and press Save.
Your Visibility page
Once Google or Bing is connected and you have chosen your website, open Visibility in the menu (under Metrics). Pick 7 days, 28 days or 90 days at the top; each card shows its exact dates and compares them with the same number of days just before.
- Google search (from Search Console): clicks, how often your site was shown in Google results, the click rate and your average place (1 is the top), a daily line, your top searches and your top pages. Google's figures run about two days behind.
- Visitors (from Google Analytics): visits to your website, how many were engaged, how many came from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, the pages people land on, and the other websites that send you visitors. It runs to yesterday, in your Analytics time zone.
- Bing (from Bing Webmaster Tools): clicks, how often your site was shown, the click rate and your top searches. Bing runs two to three days behind and counts searches by week.
If a card cannot show figures, it says why and what to do: connect, reconnect, choose your website, or try again in a minute. It never shows a 0 for a number it could not read.
How to disconnect
- Open Google or Bing in Settings → Integrations.
- Press Disconnect, then Disconnect again to confirm.
DiveOps stops reading the account and deletes the sign-in it kept. Nothing in your Google or Bing account changes. To also remove DiveOps from your Google Account, go to Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services.
What DiveOps can and cannot do
- Can: read your Google Analytics reports, your Search Console search data and your Bing Webmaster Tools data, to show them to you in DiveOps.
- Cannot: change your website, your Google or Bing settings, or anything else in your accounts. The access is read only.
- Your sign-in is stored encrypted and is never shown to anyone, including DiveOps staff. Your data is used only to show it to you. It is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train AI.
Tips
- Visibility is in the menu for Managers and Owners once DiveOps has switched Search & AI visibility on.
- If the Google or Bing tile in Settings → Integrations shows Reconnect, the sign-in stopped working (for example a password change). Open it and press Reconnect Google or Reconnect Bing.
- If your Analytics property or Search Console site is not in the list, check you signed in with the account that can see it, then connect again.
