The Planner works on a phone as well as a laptop. On a small screen it changes shape so you can plan and adjust the day with taps instead of dragging.
When you'd use this
- Checking who is on which boat while you're at the pier or on the boat.
- Moving one diver to another boat or group without going back to the desk.
- Approving a staff sign-up, changing a guide, or signing off a group from your pocket.
What's different on a phone
- On a laptop or tablet the Planner is a wide board you drag cards around. On a phone it becomes a single column you scroll, and you move people by tapping instead of dragging.
- Everything you can do at the desk you can do on the phone. The rules are the same, so the phone will never let you make a booking the desktop wouldn't.
Trips (the boats)
- The three views live at the top: Groups, Trips, Calendar. Tap Trips.
- Under the date you'll see a row of boat chips. Tap a chip to jump to that boat, or swipe left and right to move between boats one at a time.
- Each boat shows its groups and the divers in them.
- To move a diver: tap their name, then choose Move to another boat… or Move to another group on this boat… and pick where they go. A boat that's full is shown but can't be chosen.
- To change a group (its guide, a pay split, add a person, or move the whole group): tap the ⋯ next to the group name.
- To place someone waiting: tap Needs a boat at the bottom to open the waiting list, then tap the boat icon on a diver's card.
- Publish, print, history and settings are behind the ⋯ in the top-right corner.
Groups and Calendar
- Groups: courses and fun-dive outings appear as cards. Tap Needs an instructor at the bottom to open the waiting list. Tap a student to assign them; tap a group's ⋯ to set the instructor, split the pay, sign off, or remove it.
- Calendar: you get one day at a time. Use the arrows to change day. Tap a diver to assign, move or sign them off.
Tips
- Turn your phone to landscape or open the Planner on a tablet to get the full drag-and-drop board.
- A diver whose pay is already locked shows a Locked tag. You can still move them if you need to; the change re-runs their pay the same way the desk would.
