Records every nitrox cylinder you fill and the diver's own check, laid out like a paper nitrox fill log: who filled it, to what pressure and mix, then the O2 the diver measured, the maximum depth, their name and their signature. Fills for a customer can go straight onto their shop tab.
When you'd use this
- You blend or fill nitrox, for your own cylinders, for your divers, or for other businesses.
- You need a signed record that each diver analysed their cylinder before diving, for your agency, your insurer or an inspector.
- A business customer (for example another dive centre or a boat) brings cylinders to fill and pays on account.
Before you start
- The Fill Log is on for every centre, under Gear → Fill Log in the sidebar. If you don't see it, your access level may not include it: ask your centre owner.
- Boat crew and every role above them can log and check fills. Putting fills on a customer's tab needs the same access as the till.
- To charge fills, add a shop product for them first (for example "Nitrox fill 12 L" with its price), in the Shop.
How to log a fill
- Open Gear → Fill Log and press New fill.
- Enter the cylinder number (your own number, or the number on the customer's tank), the fill pressure and the O2 ordered. Pick the pressure unit beside it: bar, psi or MPa. The unit you save with becomes your centre's default for everyone, and the pressure you last used in that unit is filled in for you.
- If the cylinder belongs to a customer, pick them under Customer (divers and business customers both show). Leave it empty for your own cylinders.
- Press Log fill. Your name and the time are recorded for you. The fill now waits under Waiting for the diver's check.
How the diver checks and signs
- Open the fill from Waiting for the diver's check and press Check and sign. Hand the tablet or phone to the diver.
- The diver enters the O2 measured on the analyser. The maximum depth (MOD) shows straight away, worked out at a ppO2 of 1.4.
- If the reading is more than 1% away from what was ordered, a warning says not to dive the cylinder until it is refilled or re-analysed, and a note saying what was done is required.
- The diver enters their name (filled in for a diver's own cylinder) and signs in the box, then presses Save check.
Mistakes
- Before the check: open the fill and press Edit or Delete.
- After the check: a checked fill can't be changed or deleted. Press Void, give a reason, and it stays on the log crossed out. Log the fill again if it needs redoing.
Putting fills on a customer's tab
- Open a checked fill that has a customer and press Add to tab.
- Every checked fill of that customer that isn't on their tab yet is listed. Tick the ones to charge (a business's ten cylinders can go on together).
- Choose the shop product to charge each fill as. The total shows at the bottom.
- Press Add to tab. One sale goes on the customer's shop tab, with a line per cylinder. They pay it off at the till like any tab.
- A fill can only be on the tab once. If the sale is voided at the till, the fill shows that and can be added again.
Download the log for an inspection
- Open History, choose the dates, then press PDF or Excel.
- The PDF is laid out like a paper nitrox fill log, with each diver's signature, up to 31 days at a time. Excel has the same columns and covers up to a year.
Good to know
- The time on every fill is in your centre's own timezone.
- Each fill keeps its pressure in the unit it was logged in: 3000 psi stays 3000 psi, never converted.
- A tablet left open on the Fill Log shows new fills and checks from other devices as they happen.
- Signatures are stored privately and only your centre's staff with access to the Fill Log can see them.
