Display boards

Last updated Mon Aug 10 2026 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)

Display boards are clean, full-screen views you can put on a TV or monitor in your shop. They need no login — anyone with the link can view them. There are two: the Dive Schedule (the week's dive sites) and Dive Groups (who is diving with which instructor).

When you'd use them

  • Dive Schedule — the week's dive plan on a screen in reception.
  • Dive Groups — the instructors' board: every active group and its students, by course. Great for instructors walking in to see what they have on.

Setting one up

  1. Go to Settings → Display Boards and pick the Dive Schedule or Dive Groups tab.
  2. Press Generate display URL to create that board's link.
  3. Use Copy URL for the screen, or Preview to check it.

Configuring how it looks

The settings save automatically and a board updates within about two minutes.

Dive Schedule — QR codes (toggle the Booking QR and/or Customer sign-up QR on this board — both can show at once), Theme (Light / Dark), and Date range (Next 7 days (the default) / Today only / Today + tomorrow). Orientation is auto-detected. Next 7 days is a rolling week: today is always the top row and the board shows the next six days below, so it never fills up with days already past.

Dive Groups — QR codes (toggle the Booking QR and/or Customer sign-up QR on this board) and Theme (Light / Dark). Orientation is auto-detected. It shows active groups in bands — Starting Today, Starting Tomorrow, and In Progress (already under way). Anything starting later than tomorrow is not shown, to keep today and tomorrow big and readable. Within each band the groups are ordered by course, in your Dive Menu order (most basic first, most advanced last) — so all your Open Water groups sit together, all your Basic Scuba together, and so on; each card shows its course as a small label. Your fun-dive and activity outing groups appear too (one card per outing group, from the Activities tab of Dive Groups) — each card shows its guide, the real activity name (for example "Scuba Refresher"), and every diver in the group. If a group mixes several different activities the card simply says "Activities". An outing group stays on the board for the whole day, even after you publish its trip sheet — it rolls off when the day ends. (Only outing groups show — put a fun diver into a group on the Activities tab for them to appear.) The board automatically sizes everything to fill one screen at the largest readable size — each card grows with the number of divers in its group, and every card in a row matches the tallest one in that row, so small groups don't leave a gap. If there's too much to fit legibly, it drops the In Progress band (a note in the footer says how many are hidden). Today and Tomorrow cards are highlighted. A course student drops off once you sign them off on the Dive Groups page.

Sections shown — under Sections shown on this board you can tick or untick each of the three timing sections (Starting Today, Starting Tomorrow, In Progress) to control which appear on the screen. All three show by default. Handy if, say, you only want the board to show groups starting today and tomorrow, not everything already under way. If you untick all three, the board shows no groups.

QR code on the boards — in the Dive Schedule settings, the QR code on the boards choice controls what (if anything) shows next to your logo on both boards: Off, Booking page (customers scan to book), or Customer sign-up (customers scan to add themselves to your customer list). It only appears when your booking page is switched on. Generate/print the same codes from Settings → Booking page.

Choosing which courses show (Dive Groups)

Under Courses shown on the board you get a tickbox list of your Dive Menu items, grouped by category. Untick a course to hide it from the Dive Groups board; tick it to bring it back. Each category heading has a tick to show or hide everything in that category at once. New courses show by default, and a course with no group running simply won't appear. Fun-dive courses you untick are hidden from the "Fun Dives" cards too. Changes save automatically and the board updates within about two minutes.

Choosing how names show (Dive Groups)

Under Diver names you can choose how customers' names appear on the Dive Groups board — handy when the screen faces the shop floor:

  • Full name — e.g. Alex Rivera
  • First name only — e.g. Alex
  • First name + last initial — e.g. Alex R
  • First initial + last name — e.g. A Rivera

There's a separate Instructor names setting just below it with the same four choices, so you can format instructors and guides independently of divers — for example, full names for your staff but shortened names for customers. Both default to full names.

Tips

  • If a link is ever shared too widely, press Regenerate — to guard against an accidental click, you must type the board's name to confirm before the new URL is created. The old URL stops working immediately, so any screen still showing it will need the new link opened on it.
  • The board reflects your schedule and trip sheet.
