What should a dive centre in Vietnam run on?
Vietnamese diving follows the coast and the seasons: Nha Trang from about February to October, Con Dao from about March to September, Phu Quoc from about November to May. Much of the trade is first-time divers and beginners on a holiday, booked at short notice. DiveOps keeps every boat, course and diver in one login.
The short answer
DiveOps is dive centre software that fits Vietnam's busy try-dive and course trade: it plans each boat by group and instructor, collects diver details and medical forms on the phone before the boat, keeps gear and cylinders in order and answers visitors 24/7 on WhatsApp in their own language.
(opens full size in a new tab)Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Con Dao and the Cham Islands
Vietnam's national tourism board points divers to the Hon Mun Marine Protected Area and Whale Island off Nha Trang, the An Thoi archipelago and Turtle Island off Phu Quoc, around two dozen sites around Con Dao, and the shallow, beginner-friendly Cham Islands off Hoi An. Each runs on a different calendar because the monsoons hit the coasts at different times.
DiveOps lets a centre plan the season once: a year of dive-site pairings with a weather fallback for each day, live weather and tide for your exact spot, and seasonal trips sold as dated trips with their own spaces and price.
Try dives and beginners, booked the night before
A Nha Trang or Phu Quoc boat often carries try divers, Open Water students and a few certified fun divers on the same morning, many of them booked the evening before through a hotel or a tour desk. Who goes in which group, with which instructor, changes until the boat leaves.
DiveOps builds each boat's trip sheet from the bookings: drag groups onto boats and the capacity and kit sizes are worked out for the crew. Divers fill in their details and medical form on their phone before they arrive, and a checked certification records who checked it and when. Hotels and tour desks can have their own booking link, so you pay commission only on divers who book.
A WhatsApp front desk for visitors from abroad
Visitors from Russia, Korea, Europe and Australia, and travellers on the backpacker trail, plan from home and message at all hours in their own language. Many domestic customers use Zalo instead, and DiveOps does not answer there. For the visitors who use WhatsApp, DiveOps' WhatsApp AI answers on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API, replies in under 2 minutes, handles around 92% of routine questions itself and sends your booking link. A person at the centre confirms every booking and can take over any chat.
Courses, gear and the rest of the day
DiveOps tracks each student's course progress to instructor sign-off, whichever agency you teach under, from SSI and PADI to others. Gear and cylinders are logged against each diver with servicing reminders, and staff rosters, payroll, the shop till, reports and double-entry books sit in the same login. Centres get roughly 8 hours a week of admin back.
Your currency, payments and one plan
DiveOps runs each centre in one currency, set when you join. You can price in US dollars or euros today; if you price in Vietnamese dong, ask about it on your demo. Payments can be taken by payment link with PayPal where it is available to you, or recorded at the desk.
DiveOps is one plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. Book a demo and see it set up against your own boats, courses and staff.
Questions, answered.
Can DiveOps handle try divers, students and fun divers on one boat?
Yes. Everyone is booked against the trip and grouped by instructor or guide, and the trip sheet works out capacity and kit sizes for the boat. Divers fill in their details and medical form on their phone before they arrive.
Does the WhatsApp AI answer on Zalo?
No. It answers on WhatsApp only, on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API. It suits visitors from abroad, who mostly message on WhatsApp.
Does DiveOps work in Vietnamese dong?
Not yet. A centre can price in US dollars or euros today. If you price in dong, ask about it on your demo before you switch.
How much does DiveOps cost for a centre in Vietnam?
One plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. The pricing page has the details, or book a demo for a figure against your own numbers.
