Dive centres in Kenya

What should a dive centre in Kenya run on?

Kenya's diving runs along the coast's marine parks, from Malindi and Watamu in the north to Diani and Kisite-Mpunguti in the south, and the monsoons shape the year. Many divers come for a beach week after a safari. DiveOps runs the boats, the courses and the kit from one login.

The short answer

DiveOps suits Kenyan coast dive centres from Watamu to Diani: it builds each boat's trip sheet from the bookings, keeps every diver's certification and medical on file, tracks courses, gear and cylinders, and runs a 24/7 WhatsApp AI front desk that answers in English, Italian, German or the diver's own language.

Watamu, Malindi and the marine parks

The Kenya Wildlife Service manages the coast's marine parks, including Watamu, Malindi, Mombasa and Kisite-Mpunguti near Shimoni. Watamu is known for its Marine Big Five of turtles, whale sharks, dolphins, whales and billfish, and for the humpback whales that pass each year. Visitors pay park entry fees to the Kenya Wildlife Service.

DiveOps builds each boat's trip sheet from the bookings, with every diver's certification, kit sizes and cylinders, so everyone heading into the park is on one list before the boat leaves.

Monsoons and the diving year

The north-east monsoon, roughly November to March, usually brings the calmest seas and clearest water, while the south-east monsoon and the long rains from around April to June make the sea rougher and slow many centres down. Water stays warm, around 25°C to 29°C.

DiveOps sells seasonal trips, such as a humpback whale boat or a Kisite day, as dated trips on your booking page with their own spaces and price, and the staff roster shows who is working through the quieter months.

Safari travellers and a 24/7 WhatsApp front desk

The coast hears from Italian, German and British visitors, residents up from Nairobi and safari travellers, in English, Swahili, Italian, German or their own language. DiveOps' WhatsApp AI answers on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API, replies in under 2 minutes, handles around 92% of routine questions itself and sends your booking link. A person at the centre confirms every booking and takes over any chat that needs one.

Courses, medicals and gear

Divers fill in their details and medical form on their phone before they arrive. DiveOps tracks each student's course progress to sign-off, whichever agency you teach under, from SSI and PADI to CMAS, and logs gear and cylinders against each diver.

Your currency, payments and one plan

DiveOps runs each centre in one currency, set when you join. A centre in Kenya can price in US dollars or euros today; ask about Kenyan shillings on your demo. Payments can be taken by payment link with PayPal where it is available to you, or recorded at the desk, and the shop till, payroll, reports and double-entry books sit in the same login. Centres get roughly 8 hours a week of admin back.

DiveOps is one plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. Book a demo and see it set up against your own boats, sites and team.
