What should a dive centre in Germany, Austria or Switzerland run on?
Diving in German-speaking Europe happens mostly in fresh water: deep alpine lakes, flooded quarries and the big border lakes, dived year round in drysuits. The same divers then fly south to German-run centres on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. DiveOps runs both kinds of centre from one login.
The short answer
DiveOps suits lake and quarry dive centres across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and German-speaking centres abroad: it tracks courses, rental gear and cylinder fills against each diver, checks certifications and medicals before the dive, and runs euro payments through your own Stripe account, with a 24/7 WhatsApp AI front desk answering in German.
(opens full size in a new tab)Lakes and quarries, all year
Germany's quarry lakes, from the Kreidesee at Hemmoor to the old quarries of Saxony, are dived every weekend of the year, with training platforms in the shallows and old mine workings deeper down. In Austria, the Attersee is dived all year, with visibility of up to 25 metres in summer and the best conditions from September to June. Lake Constance, shared by all three countries, and the Swiss lakes add more.
Fresh water is cold, so most courses and fun dives run in drysuits, and every weekend brings a rush of rentals and fills. DiveOps tracks rental gear and cylinders against each diver, warns when something is overdue, and sells kit, fills and entry through the shop till.
Courses from first dive to drysuit and beyond
Centres in the region teach under VDST and CMAS, SSI, PADI and other agencies, and a lot of the teaching is specialities: drysuit, nitrox, ice and deep courses. DiveOps tracks each student from first session to instructor sign-off and keeps every certification on the diver's record, whichever agency issued it.
Divers fill in their details and medical form on their phone before they arrive, so the lakeside briefing is not spent on clipboards.
German-speaking centres abroad
Many German, Austrian and Swiss instructors run centres on the Red Sea, in the Canaries and the Balearics, and across Asia, serving divers who want their briefing in German. DiveOps runs those centres too, with boats and trip sheets, gear and the team in one place, and the WhatsApp AI answers in German, English or the diver's own language.
A 24/7 WhatsApp front desk
Weekend divers plan on Thursday night and holiday divers months ahead. DiveOps' WhatsApp AI answers on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API, replies in under 2 minutes, handles around 92% of routine questions itself and sends your booking link. A person at the centre confirms every booking and can take over any chat.
Euros, Swiss francs and one plan
German and Austrian centres run prices, payments, payroll, reports and double-entry books in euros. Swiss centres can price in euros or US dollars today; if you want Swiss francs, ask us on your demo. Card payments go through your own Stripe account, which can mean card fees up to 20% lower than a typical terminal (never guaranteed; it depends on your current processor), and centres get roughly 8 hours a week of admin back.
DiveOps is one plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. Book a demo and see it set up against your own lake, courses and kit room.
