Import from your website · read your details in automatically

Last updated 2026-09-15

Paste your current website address and DiveOps reads it to suggest courses, dive sites, FAQs, policies, travel info and phone numbers for your dashboard. Nothing goes live until you review and accept it.

When you'd use this

  • You're setting up a new centre and already have a website with this information on it.
  • You've added pages to your site since you last did this and want to pull in the new content.

Before you start

  • You need the Edit settings permission (owners and managers have it by default).
  • Have your website address to hand, e.g. https://your-dive-centre.com.

Scan your website

  1. Open Settings → Import from your website.
  2. Enter your website address and press Scan my website.
  3. This can take a few minutes for a large site. The status updates as it runs, and you can leave the page and come back.
  4. Once the scan finishes, DiveOps automatically reads through the pages to find your services, dive sites, FAQs, policies, travel information and phone numbers.

Review what we found

Nothing is added to your dashboard automatically. Once a scan says "Ready to review", press Review on it:

  1. Each group (Courses & activities, Dive sites, FAQs, Policies, Travel, Phone numbers) lists what was found.
  2. For each item, choose one:
    • Accept (tick) to add it to your dashboard as it is.
    • Edit (pencil) to fix or fill in a field first, then Save & accept.
    • Bin (cross) to discard it. Nothing is kept and it never appears again.
  3. Use Accept all in this group to add everything in one group in a single press. Anything missing a required field (for example a course with no name) is skipped and stays in the list for you to fix.
  4. A course or activity needs a Type. Pick one of the standard options, or choose Custom… to type your own.

Tips

  • Scanning again re-reads your site and offers anything new to review. It never re-adds something you've already accepted or binned.
  • If a scan comes up short (some pages couldn't be reached), a Scan again button appears next to it.
  • If reading the details into suggestions fails, a Try again button re-runs just that step, without a full re-scan.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: the review screen says nothing left to review. Cause / fix: everything found has already been accepted or binned. Scan again to look for anything new.
  • Symptom: a course won't accept. Cause / fix: press Edit and fill in the field it's asking for, then Save & accept.
