Dive centres in South Korea

What should a dive centre in South Korea run on?

Most Korean recreational diving happens off Jeju, where the islets off Seogwipo carry soft corals in water that runs from the high teens in winter to the mid-20s in late summer, with the East Sea coast on the mainland. Korean law asks underwater leisure businesses to register. DiveOps keeps the boats, divers and gear in one login.

The short answer

DiveOps is dive centre software for Korean operators, from Seogwipo boat dives to the East Sea coast: it plans each boat by guide, keeps every diver's certification and medical form, logs gear and cylinders with servicing reminders, and runs rosters and payroll, with a 24/7 WhatsApp front desk for visitors from abroad.

DiveOps gear: 44 items, one service due, an alert that a dive computer's service is 7 days overdue, and every item with its size, condition, status, uses and next service date. (opens full size in a new tab)

Seogwipo's islets and the Jeju season

Jeju is a UNESCO biosphere reserve with more sea than land in it, and its best-known diving is around Munseom, Beomseom and Seopseom off Seogwipo: soft-coral walls, a short boat ride from the harbour. The main season runs through summer and autumn, with fewer divers and colder water in winter.

DiveOps plans each boat from the bookings, grouped by guide, with a year of dive-site pairings and a weather fallback for each day and live weather and tide for your exact spot, so a blown-out morning is a quick swap rather than a round of phone calls.

Registration, equipment and safety briefings

Under the Act on the Safety and Promotion of Underwater Leisure Activities, anyone who runs an underwater leisure business must register it, and operators must make sure participants wear their equipment and receive safety education. Night activity is restricted unless set safety equipment and safety staff are in place.

DiveOps logs rental gear and cylinders against each diver with servicing reminders, keeps staff certificates with expiry warnings, and records each diver's certification and medical form, filled in on the phone before they arrive. DiveOps does not register a business or make it compliant; it keeps the records together so they are there when asked for.

Courses, pool sessions and the shop

Many Korean centres run pool training in the city and open water weekends on Jeju or the east coast. DiveOps tracks each student's course progress to instructor sign-off, whichever agency you teach under, from SSI and PADI to NAUI and CMAS, and pool sessions, boat trips and shore dives sit in the same daily plan. The shop till, staff rosters, payroll, reports and double-entry books are in the same login.

A WhatsApp front desk for visitors from abroad

Korean divers mostly message on KakaoTalk, and DiveOps does not answer there. Visitors from abroad and foreign residents often use WhatsApp. For them, DiveOps' WhatsApp AI answers on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API, in the diver's language, replies in under 2 minutes, handles around 92% of routine questions itself and sends your booking link. A person at the centre confirms every booking and can take over any chat.

Your currency, payments and one plan

DiveOps runs each centre in one currency, set when you join. You can price in US dollars or euros today; if you price in won, ask about it on your demo. Payments can be taken by payment link with PayPal where it is available to you, or recorded at the desk. Centres get roughly 8 hours a week of admin back.

DiveOps is one plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. Book a demo and see it set up against your own boats, pool and staff.

Questions, answered.

Can DiveOps run pool sessions and Jeju boat trips together?

Yes. Pool sessions, shore dives and boat trips sit in the same daily plan, and each student's course progress follows them through to instructor sign-off.

Does the WhatsApp AI answer on KakaoTalk?

No. It answers on WhatsApp only, on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API. It suits visitors from abroad and foreign residents who message on WhatsApp.

Does DiveOps work in Korean won?

Not yet. A centre can price in US dollars or euros today. If you price in won, ask about it on your demo before you switch.

How much does DiveOps cost for a centre in South Korea?

One plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. The pricing page has the details, or book a demo for a figure against your own numbers.
