What should a dive centre in Oman run on?
Most Omani diving is boat diving from Muscat, out to the Daymaniyat Islands and the coast south of the city, with Musandam's fjords in the north and Dhofar in the south. The season, the permits and the boats all shape the day. DiveOps keeps all of it in one login.
The short answer
DiveOps suits Omani dive centres from Muscat to Musandam: it builds each boat's trip sheet from the bookings, keeps every diver's certification and medical on the booking, tracks courses, gear and cylinders, and runs a 24/7 WhatsApp AI front desk that answers in the diver's language and sends your booking link.
(opens full size in a new tab)Daymaniyat boat days and the reserve permit
The Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve is run by the Environment Authority, which sells visit-and-diving permits, and landing on the islands is not allowed from May to October while turtles and birds nest. Closer to Muscat, centres run trips to Fahal Island, Bandar Khayran and the Al Munassir wreck.
DiveOps builds each boat's trip sheet from the bookings, with every diver, their certification and their kit, so you know exactly who is going out before you sort the permits and load the boat.
Musandam, Dhofar and the seasons
Musandam's steep walls and fjords sit at the tip of the peninsula, while Dhofar's southern coast is shaped by the summer khareef monsoon, roughly June to September, when the sea there is too rough for most diving. Water runs from the low 20s in winter to around 30°C in summer, with cooler layers at depth.
DiveOps sells seasonal trips as dated trips on your booking page with their own spaces and price, and lets you staff each one from the same roster.
Residents, visitors and a 24/7 WhatsApp front desk
Omani centres hear from residents and expatriates booking weekend dives, and from European visitors planning a holiday, in English, Arabic, German and more. DiveOps' WhatsApp AI answers on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API, replies in under 2 minutes, handles around 92% of routine questions itself and sends your booking link. A person at the centre confirms every booking and takes over any chat that needs one.
Courses, gear and medicals before the boat
Divers fill in their details and medical form on their phone before they arrive, so the morning is not spent on clipboards at the marina. DiveOps tracks each student's course progress to sign-off, whichever agency you teach under, from SSI and PADI to RAID, and logs gear and cylinders against each diver.
Your currency, payments and one plan
DiveOps runs each centre in one currency, set when you join. Omani rials are not available yet, so a centre in Oman can price in US dollars or euros today; ask about rials on your demo. Payments can be taken by payment link with PayPal where it is available to you, or recorded at the desk, and the shop till, payroll, reports and double-entry books sit in the same login. Centres get roughly 8 hours a week of admin back.
DiveOps is one plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. Book a demo and see it set up against your own boats, sites and team.
Questions, answered.
Does DiveOps buy Daymaniyat permits for us?
No. Permits come from the Environment Authority. DiveOps gives you each boat's list of divers from the bookings, so the names and numbers are ready when you sort the permits.
Does DiveOps work for liveaboards in Oman?
DiveOps is built for day-boat and shore-based centres. If you also sell liveaboard places, list each departure as a dated trip on your booking page, with its own spaces and price. DiveOps does not run the liveaboard itself.
Can we price in Omani rials?
Not yet. A centre in Oman can price in US dollars or euros today. Ask about rials on your demo and we will tell you where it stands for your account.
How much does DiveOps cost for a dive centre in Oman?
One plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. The pricing page has the details, or book a demo for a figure against your own numbers.
