Dive centres on Nusa Penida and Lembongan

What should a dive centre on Nusa Penida or Lembongan run on?

The three Nusa islands sit inside a marine protected area of about 200 square kilometres off Bali's south-east coast. Shops here run several short boat trips a day to Manta Point, Crystal Bay and the channel walls, often from a dive resort with its own rooms. DiveOps runs the trips, the rooms, the staff and the money from one login.

The short answer

DiveOps suits island dive shops on Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan: it sells each manta and mola trip with live spaces, checks every diver's certification and medical before the boat, books rooms and dives on one bill in rupiah, pays guides per dive, and answers WhatsApp 24/7 with an AI front desk.

Manta Point, Crystal Bay and the mola season

Reef mantas are seen around Nusa Penida all year, with most sightings at two bays, Manta Bay and Manta Point. Ocean sunfish (mola) rise to the reefs at Crystal Bay and nearby sites in the cooler months, roughly July to October, and divers plan whole trips around those weeks.

DiveOps sells each trip, from a two-tank manta morning to a mola dawn dive, with its own spaces and price on your booking page, so the last seat is never sold twice. In mola season, add extra dated trips once and they go on sale straight away.

Strong currents mean checking every diver first

The Lembongan channel and the walls off Penida carry some of Bali's strongest currents, and many sites suit experienced divers only. A shop needs to know each diver's level and recent dives before they board.

Each diver fills in their certification and medical form on their phone before they arrive, and both sit on the booking. The trip sheet for each boat is built from the bookings, with every diver's level on it, ready for the crew the night before. Read more about certification and medical checks.

Rooms and dives on one bill

Many Nusa shops are dive resorts: guests stay in the shop's own bungalows and dive from the same jetty. Handling rooms in one system and dives in another means two bills and a lot of copying.

With the Accommodation add-on, DiveOps books rooms and beds alongside the dives, so a guest's stay, dives, rental gear and shop sales land on one bill.

Guides paid per dive, and rupiah throughout

Island guides are often paid by the dive. DiveOps works out each guide's pay from the dives they ran, alongside course and retail commission, and puts it straight into payroll and the books.

Prices, the shop till, payroll and reports can all run in Indonesian rupiah. Payments are recorded at the desk against each booking, and centres get roughly 8 hours a week of admin back.

A 24/7 WhatsApp front desk for guests on the fast boat

Most guests reach the islands by fast boat from Sanur and message from Bali the night before, in English and many other languages. DiveOps' WhatsApp AI answers on your centre's own number through the official Meta Business API, replies in under 2 minutes, handles around 92% of routine questions itself and sends your booking link. A person at the shop confirms every booking and takes over any chat that needs one.

Questions, answered.

Is this different from the Bali page?

Yes. The Bali page covers shops on the main island, from Tulamben and Amed to Sanur. This page is for shops based on Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, many of which also run rooms.

Can DiveOps add extra trips for mola season?

Yes. Add the dated trips once and they go on sale on your booking page with their own spaces and price.

Can it handle rooms as well as dives?

Yes, with the Accommodation add-on. Rooms and beds are booked alongside the dives, and the stay, dives and gear go on one bill.

Does it work in rupiah?

Yes. Prices, the shop till, payroll and reports can all run in Indonesian rupiah.

How much does DiveOps cost for a dive shop on Nusa Penida or Lembongan?

One plan with every feature, priced by the number of divers you run through the year. The pricing page has the details, or book a demo for a figure against your own numbers.
