DiveOps vs DiversDesk

DiversDesk and DiveOps are both all-in-one dive centre management systems, and they overlap on a lot: scheduling, bookings, customer onboarding and billing. The clearest difference is the front door. DiveOps is built around a 24/7 multilingual AI that answers enquiries on your own WhatsApp number and turns them into bookings, and it carries a deeper back office, a retail POS till, finance and payroll, in the same login. Here is an honest, like-for-like comparison.

What DiversDesk does well

DiversDesk is a capable, established all-in-one system, and it is worth being clear about its strengths. Based on its public site, it covers planning and scheduling across trips, staff, fleet and multiple locations, strong paperless onboarding with registration forms, waivers and diver medical forms, pre-payments, billing and invoicing, a metrics dashboard, a digital whiteboard and white-label branding. If your priority is tidy scheduling and paperless customer onboarding, it does that job.

DiveOps covers that same ground. Where it differs is the front desk and the depth of the back office, below.

The difference is the front desk

Most dive enquiries now arrive on WhatsApp, at all hours and in many languages, and the centre that replies first usually wins the booking. DiveOps puts a 24/7 AI on your centre's own WhatsApp number, built on the official Meta Business API, that answers in the diver's language in under two minutes, knows your prices and schedule, and turns the enquiry into a booking, handing anything off-script to a human with the full chat attached.

Based on DiversDesk's public site, we did not find WhatsApp, AI or a customer-facing chat assistant described. More broadly, no competitor we found, DiversDesk included, describes a 24/7 multilingual inbound WhatsApp front desk with one-tap human hand-off. That is the part of DiveOps built to capture the enquiries a centre loses while it is on a boat, asleep, or replying too slowly in the wrong language.

A deeper back office in one login

Beyond onboarding and bookings, DiveOps runs the money and the operation end to end: a retail POS till for gear, rentals, servicing and courses; a double-entry finance module with a real profit and loss; payroll with instructor-commission splits; boats with live GPS; the daily trip sheet; and gear servicing. Payments run through the centre's own account, so card fees can be up to 20% lower than typical terminal rates (never guaranteed; it depends on your current processor).

Based on what is published, DiversDesk handles billing and invoicing and integrates payments through Xendit, but we did not find a retail point-of-sale till, built-in payroll, a full profit-and-loss ledger or boat GPS tracking described on its site. If those matter to how your centre runs, that is the gap to weigh up.

Questions, answered.

Is DiveOps an alternative to DiversDesk?

Yes. Both are all-in-one dive centre management systems covering scheduling, bookings, onboarding and billing. DiveOps adds a 24/7 inbound AI WhatsApp front desk and a deeper back office, a retail POS till, finance and payroll, in one login.

Does DiversDesk have a WhatsApp AI front desk?

Based on its public site, we did not find WhatsApp, AI or a customer-facing chat assistant described. That inbound front desk is the main thing DiveOps adds; we hedge this because a product can always add features, so check its current site too.

What does DiveOps do that DiversDesk does not appear to?

Based on what is published, DiveOps adds a 24/7 multilingual inbound WhatsApp AI front desk, a retail POS till, built-in payroll, a full profit-and-loss ledger and boat GPS tracking. DiversDesk's strengths are its scheduling and paperless onboarding, including waivers and diver medical forms.

How much does DiveOps cost?

From £99 a month, scaling with the number of divers you run through the year, with no tiers and no per-seat charges. Book a demo for a figure against your own numbers.
